Who am I? Motivations and influences,

                My name is Chris Dorman. I am from the beautiful Great Southern region and have awaited returning to it. Now here, I am looking forward to combining my passions, physical training, food, health, trail running, strength training, learning, and the outdoors to impact the health and performance of as many people as I can. These are my motivations.

                My journey has taken me through the health, fitness, academic, professional sport, Strength & Conditioning & Sports Nutrition industries, and now I am looking to create something of my own and creating change, for the better. Edith Cowan University, Joondalup. Unit SPS3104 PERFORMANCE STUDIES 7-football (AFL), 2010. Conducted lectures and tutorials related to Australian Rules Football.

2010 Australian Strength Conditioning Association (ASCA) Leve1 course units: Nutrition and Drugs in Sport, Recovery, Special Populations, Flexibility, Mobility, Warm-ups and Cool-downs.

FACILITATING, PRESENTING & WORKSHOPS:

Body Care Health Club, Albany WA. June 2018. Train the Trainer (upskilling of existing trainers) & members fundamental lifting techniques.

Athletic Institute, Perth, WA. October 2017. Strength and Conditioning problem solving for WAFL preparation.

International Coach Education. January 25-29, 2010, presented 5-day course on Strength and Conditioning/Physical Preparation to KONI (Indonesian Olympic Committee coaches and DESPORO (Indonesian Department of Sport) coaches. Involved lecturing, practical sessions and working with interpreters.

2009 DVD titled: Strength and Conditioning Secrets for Australian Rules Football with Chris Dorman. This presentation was conducted for Coach AFL, recorded and then made into a 2 disk DVD, sold mainly in Australia and Ireland.

Conducted theory and practical teaching of the Training Methods component of year 11 Physical Education Curriculum-Hale school.
